The first trailer for Survivor has just arrived few days ago. But the film has already got my attention from back in 2014, when they started filming it. I thought it was cool to finally see Milla Jovovich to play in some film where she portrayed a 'real' intelligent character, in that kind of political film.

The film, directed by James McTeigue, is an action thriller (with some kind political twists) in which Milla plays a Foreign Service Officer (because she's Russian) framed for a terrorist bombing in New York. Then, she got herself being hunted by Pierce Brosnan's (formerly James Bond) hitman and this film is pretty about chasing someone in 'cool' mode, or whatever. Pierce's character has a codename "The Watchmaker" and is referred as world's most wanted assassin. So, let's see how Alice and James Bond could get along.

Take a look at the trailer, below:
It also stars Dylan McDermott (was in Olympus Has Fallen), Angela Bassett (also in Olympus Has Fallen) and Robert Forster. So, I can see that the producer was willing to cast the main stars who already have a 'political' film experience, I suppose. And the film would be like a bunch of mix of Olympus Has Fallen, The Bourne Identity (in female verison), 007, and a little bit of Salt.

Judging from the trailer, the film is cool. But is also not cool, because it could be a flop, a complete flop, because some part of it already shows that the film did a lot of sampling on another films' stories. And each time I believed that a film would be so good, it turned out to be so bad. You could see that Milla's character bears a resemblance to Jason Bourne or Evelyn Salt, if necessary. I'm not really into political films, but I still believe the film would be worth to watch.

The film is first revealed by Milla (as she is kind of active in social networks) and after that, she started to post these pictures of her training to filming for the film. She gave them hashtags #londondiary constantly as a form of a sneak peek (she loves giving her fans sneak peeks). I think that's pretty cute, you know, she doesn't have time to write diary on a book, so she goes taking pictures. Anyway, Milla is a fine, kind lady. She just gave birth to her latest, newborn baby.

Finally, the film is quite promising with already an unexpected collaborations of the actors (it's only Milla and the rest of the cast). And I'm hoping the best for this film, because they're not a horrible actors and I believe they can deliver the story in the best way. So, readers, we should give the film a try when it's out on May 29, 2015. Let's hope there will be no changes for the date.

The subtitling of Paul W. S. Anderson’s Resident Evil franchise can be a little difficult to keep track of (though not as difficult as the game series, where a numbered installment only comes along once in a blue moon), so a quick recap might be useful before discussing the latest news regarding Resident Evil 6. The film series has so far been roughly divided into two trilogies, the first consisting of Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction, with the saga continuing in Resident Evil: Afterlife and Resident Evil: Retribution. At this point, we probably need a mnemonic by which to remember all the subtitles.

Despite having confirmation of the release date for Resident Evil 6 back in , it was not yet certain whether Anderson would choose to direct once again or if his schedule would require him to delegate the job as he did with Apocalypse and Extinction. Now it’s official – Paul W.S. Anderson will direct Resident Evil 6.

First Showing has confirmed that Anderson will definitely be returning as both director and producer and will begin shooting the film this fall. Perhaps it’s fitting that – having produced all of the Resident Evil films so far directed three of them – Anderson should be at the helm for what is supposed to be the concluding chapter of the second trilogy (and based on the poor critical reception and declining box office profits, it might also be the final installment of the franchise).

As far as we know, Anderson is still attached to direct an adaptation of another video game, Castlevania. He’s also lined up to direct Pompeii, a disaster movie based on the famous eruption of Mount Vesuvius that destroyed an entire city in AD 79. Pompeii was originally supposed to start filming in spring 2012, but now appears to be back on track with Kit Harrington recently announced to play the lead role.

No plot details for RE6 have yet been released, but fans of the existing Resident Evil films will probably have a good idea of what to expect. Milla Jovovich is set to return as Alice, and the perennial bad guys of the Umbrella Corporation will no doubt be back again, joined by the undead and mutated horrors that they've unleashed upon the world. Anderson plans to shoot Resident Evil 6 in 3D, as he did with Afterlife and Retribution.

Whether or not the franchise will rise once more, in the form of a reboot or further additions to the existing saga, will no doubt depend largely on the box office success of Resident Evil 6. Despite the occasional Razzie nomination, the Resident Evil films have been fairly reliable in terms of profit, with the last installment grossing over $220m worldwide.

The band put out two albums – Our Little Visionary in 1996, and Happy Ending in 2000 – neither of which received glowing reviews. Reeves himself usually said that the band sucked, and described the decision to start playing live shows as "a huge mistake". It didn't stop him joining another band, Becky, a few years later; but when they were offered a record deal, he quit, since he didn't have the time to dedicate to touring and recording.

But although her acting career has been more successful, she hasn't entirely given up on music. She occasionally sings with Puscifer, a side project of Tool's Maynard James Keenan, and has also collaborated with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba. She's also working on new songs, posting demos to her website and planning future music videos.

His debut album, Be Here Soon, was a sort of charming folk-rock effort, released on an indie label. It didn't do much to derail his acting career, though, and it took until 2009 for him to make any more music – and that was as part of the soundtrack for the film Crazy Heart. He did eventually get round to recording a second album, though: last year, he put out a self-titled country album, which garnered some lukewarm reviews. Overall, he's made a fairly credible effort, but choosing an acting career seems to have been the right decision.

Downey put out a full length album, The Futurist, in 2004, to mixed reviews. The following year, he told Contact Music that although he'd like to pursue his music career more fully, he couldn't afford to. He's since contributed to the soundtracks of films he's made, but seems to have given up on the idea of becoming a full-time musician for now.

But in 2008 she released an album of Tom Waits covers entitled Anywhere I Lay My Head. The album was surprisingly well received, earning an 8/10 rating in the NME and four stars in the Guardian, but listening to it now, it's really kind of dreadful. Her voice isn't awful, but it doesn't quite work with the songs she's chosen. It's just not pleasant to listen to.

Still, that wasn't quite enough to stop him from massacring some other songs, and over the years Shatner has even taken his act on tour. In 2004, he released another studio album, Has Been, which was produced by Ben Folds. For some reason, people seemed to think it wasn't completely awful, which led to the release of Seeking Major Tom, a compilation of space-related covers – almost as a concession to the fact that the only reason anyone would consider buying it is because he's Captain Kirk.

But it did well enough that four further records followed, and Nimoy began to move away from his Vulcan persona. Two Sides Of Leonard Nimoy was only half Spock-themed, and The Way I Feel, The Touch Of Leonard Nimoy, and The New World Of Leonard Nimoy were almost entirely Trek-free folksy efforts. They're also pretty forgettable. If you knew Nimoy had a musical career, you probably remember "The Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins", and frankly, the less said about that, the better.

Five years later, though, Feldman released another album, Still Searching For Soul, as the lead singer of the band The Truth Movement. I'm not sure what kind of music you'd even classify it as, but it's awful. His voice just… doesn't really work, at all. But somehow, somehow, he released a further two albums even after that: 2002's Former Child Actor, which includes a horrendous cover of Imagine, and 2008's Technology Analogy, which is a kind of prog concept album which is, unsurprisingly, terrible. Ugh.

By 2005, Crowe had decided he needed a new direction. He formed The Ordinary Fear Of God, who sound a bit like Nick Cave if Nick Cave was terrible. It's seriously difficult to listen to for more than a few seconds at a time, but somehow the band found an audience, and even sold-out a couple of tours in the US and Australia. Thankfully, it seems Crowe is focusing on acting at the moment, which is probably for the best.

(Before you tell me off in the comments – yeah, Crowe isn't really a very geeky actor, but he sneaked in here on a technicality since he's playing Jor-El in Man Of Steel.)
